So, what exactly is Wide Open? Well, first off it is the name of our youth ministry here at First Baptist Church of Bogalusa, Louisiana. We are Wide Open Youth Ministry or WO for short. But boy, is it more than just a name....

It is a reminder, of who we are and of who we are to be. When I think of a car running wide open I think of one running full speed, no holds barred. That is what God's word says we are to live life like. Full speed for Christ. Mark 12:30 says it like this, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." Pretty much includes all of us, huh. In other words, we are to give God all we've got, in everyway you can. Full Speed. No holds barred. Wide Open.

Thats what we do, and try to learn to continue to do. Give God our all, running Wide Open for Him. On this site, you'll see a little about what we do, what we've done, and what maybe you can be involved in. Check it out, come back often, but most of all Run Wide Open.
